Bork n' Pwual

This is a story I started back in 2015, inspired by pro-wrestling and the concept of “kayfabe” - the story and characters within the wrestling world, which may have elements of truth and real life.

I visited some friends in Bakersfield that year, some of whom were also fans of wrasslin’, and sketched and inked the first half of this comic while on the train. I did additional work on this comic while back home working at the Wharf.

I finally finished the last half of this comic in 2024. I was stuck on the ending script for the longest time. I wanted this to be funny, but also genuinely romantic and a little sad. And I needed to incorporate some new developments to these characters since 2015. I hope you enjoy this decade-long project, whether you’re a wrestling fan or know nothing about these meaty punch-men.

All characters and events in this show—even those based on real people—are entirely fictional. Any resemblence to humans living or deceased are coincidental and products of your silly little imagination.
