When I was a kid, I liked the pairing of Slade and Robin from the 2003 Teen Titans cartoon. Now I am a grown ass man and I still like it, but in the form of top Nightwing and bottom Slade. The popular name for this pairing is DickSlade in the comics fandom, but I made my own ship "NightSlade"" name cuz DickSlade sounds too funny to me, and I'm making some shit up in my head about the canon completely separate from the comics.

TLDR: Nightwing and Slade play a cat-and-mouse game of spandex cops n' robbers, chasing each other obsessively.

The appeal of this pairing is that Slade is a big booty ho with a big oily butt. He has a purring milf voice thanks to his fantastic voice actor, Ron Perlman. And I much prefer the cartoon Slade's faceless story-less evil entity over the comic's goatee lana del rey daddy.

Nightwing also has a huge butt, and is a long haired bishie. I really liked his design from this cartoon. Nothin' better than being physically and emotionally abused + manipulated by some weird old guy as a kid, then growing up to revenge abuse that weird old guy's butthole.

About the characters Nightwing and Slade. The text is a mix of the multiple cartoons and comics canon, and some of my headcanons after the 2003 cartoon ends.

Nightwing and Slade do not interact in the 2003 Teen Titans cartoon, where I'm drawing my visual inspiration. This is why I gotta make stuff for them, especially because I'm a fool who's not interested in any Slade not voiced by Ron Perlman.

Nightwing

aka Dick Grayson

Once known as Robin, the first sidekick of Batman, he's grown out of sugar daddy Bruce's mansion and into his own life as a spandex-clad crime-fighter.

Much like Batman, his parents are dead and he seeks a form of vengeance by becoming a vigilante. Unlike Batman, he's not gonna start grooming a bunch of little boys into being his bitch slaves.

After being continuously tormented by Slade during his career as Robin, he continues to see Slade in his PTSD nightmares and delusions. He sacrifices his own well-being and relationships with others in his single-minded obsession, even if the villain appears to be dead.

He appears with long sexy hair in the 2003 Teen Titans episode "How Long Is Forever?". In most of his other appearances, he has short hair or a mullet, and is usually drawn with a humongous ass. He rides a motorcycle, much cooler than Bruce's car.

Though some people still think of him as the Boy Wonder with green undies and the gee-whiz demeaner, he's a grown man and has had a lot of sex with a lot of lovely ladies. My favorite fling of his is him, Harley Quinn, and Batman sandwiched somewhere inbetween. I also like when Starfire is twice as tall as him and snoosnoos his pelvis into a fine dust.

Slade

aka Deathstroke the Terminator - you can't say that in a kid's cartoon!

The cartoon shows nothing of his past or motivations, and I like that. He simply exists to torment Robin and purr like a slut.

If you take the comics into account, he's a 60+ year old man with an ex-wife, lots of kids and a stupid goatee. He joined the US Army during the time of the Vietnam war as a teenager, and did some gay super-soldier experiments that gave him strength like Captain America. His ex-wife shot one of his eyes out, one of his kids died, and he became an assassin and serial child abuser. Like, you know he's a freak when your main rivals are the TEEN Titans led by DICK Grayson, and your whole thing is grooming and manipulating TEENagers. Not to mention the fling he has with Terra in the comics.

In any case, I choose not to worry about most of the canon except for the part that makes him a literal grandpa in age and propagation. I like old ukes, I cannot lie. I'm probably gonna turn my version of Slade into a robocop-esque dead man stuffed into a metal body, and then change his name, and repurpose him as my own character LOL.

Year released: 2003
Years active: 2003-2004 - I've always been enchanted by Slade's slutty swag. I remember the release of this show (👴) on Cartoon Network, and was for some reason annoyed that the show was psuedo-anime style with American mannerisms. But I was still extremely influenced by the art style, you can see it in the way I shade latex/leather and stylize boots.
Series watched: 2003 Teen Titans, 1992 BTAS, some Batman comics. Haven't read the 80's TT comics.
Favorite characters Slade is my waifu. Terra is cool and traumatized. Nightwing has cool long hair.
Favorite scene Season 3, Episode 5: Haunted. Robin gets beat tf up by his hallucination of Slade.
OTP NightSlade (Nightwing x Slade) 💙🧡
Favorite OTP moment Season 1, Episode 11-12: Apprentice. This was the yaoi bait Sladin arc. Slade is trying to groom Robin into a mirror image of himself, like an evil version of Batman (who is referenced as Robin's "father" in this arc!). Robin gets a gay lil mini-Slade outfit, they fight a lot, and everyone gets beat up.

  • Terra and Slade: I don't want them to fuck but there's obvious creepy sexual tension, and Terra's trauma from being a grooming victim is SO SAD 😢.
